On-Demand Ops are Ops that can be completed whenever required; your Staff would be allowed to perform an operation whenever necessary and not only when scheduled.

This can be particularly useful for Ops that don't need to be completed unless a particular event takes place (e.g. Accident and Incident Log).

There are three different types of On-demand Ops:

Ops started ad-hoc by a User

In order to enable/disable the On-Demand feature, you need to:

  • Open the Op of your choice

  • Navigate to the Settings tab

  • Within the Options section, toggle the on-demand option. ⬇️

Once this option is active, in order to start an On-Demand Op on the Native app, your Staff will need to navigate to the Ops tab and look for the plus sign (+) at the bottom right of the screen.

💡

The user will have the ability to modify the Op Title before starting the Op

When starting a new on-demand Op, your Staff will also be prompted to enter a Deadline (date/time) and to select a Place. This has three major benefits:

  • A Deadline will make your Op appear correctly prioritised

  • On-demand Ops will not be forgotten about

  • Allows for Notifications to be sent for On-demand Ops that are Late

  • If the user profile is associated with various Places, you can select the relevant place for the Op

Ops assigned to a specific User/Position/Team

If you have an Op that needs to be completed by a specific User/Position/Team in your Org, you can trigger this from the Operations list in the Web app:

  • Find the Op that you would like to assign

  • Hover over it for the options menu to appear

  • Select Assign

In the Assign an Op pop-up window:

  • Select the Place that the Op needs to be completed at

  • Select the Staff member, Position, or Team that needs to complete it

  • Optionally, amend the title of the Op

  • Select the due date/time that the Op should be completed by

  • Click Assign an Op

Once you have assigned the Op, it will appear in the designated person/people's To Do list.

💡

If assigned to a Position or Team, the Op will only be required to be submitted by one person to be considered Completed

Ops assigned to a group of Staff

There may be situations when you require to be very specific on who completes a particular Op: Staff that holding a particular Position, belonging to a particular Team... or, on the contrary, all your Staff.

All this can be triggered from the Operations list:

  • Find the Op that you would like to assign

  • Hover over the Op so that more options appear

  • Select Assign

In the Assign an Op pop-up window:

  • Select the Place that the Op needs to be completed at

  • Pick All Staff selected and choose the Users/Positions/Teams that need to complete the Op

  • Optionally, amend the title of the Op

  • Select the due date/time that the Op should be completed by

  • Click Assign an Op

Once you have assigned the Op, it will appear in the designated Users ToDo list as well as on the TeamBoards.

💡

If assigned to a Position or Team, the Op will be required to be submitted by each individual person with the selected Position or on the selected Team.
